- Hi, my name is Bali and I'm a letterboxing addict. (Hi, Bali!) My home base for living and boxing is Southeast Michigan. My 'boxin buds are PoPoBullyGirl and her daughter Skydancer Crystal. We love going out in nature and having these great adventures. For some reason, PoPo's husband thinks we're nuts! What does he know?

The "rules" of this no-rules hobby
- A lot of people say there are no rules to letterboxing. But there are several things you should keep in mind to protect our boxes and the environment. Here are some suggestions:
- Use common sense. Your safety comes before the find. Be prepared to abandon the hunt if circumstances aren't optimal
- Be discreet and stealthy to protect hiding spot
- Respect the land and property, "leave no trace", "Hike In/Trash Out"
- Protect from critters! Avoid "stinking up" the box; don't have food on hands or use baby wipes on stamps
- Obey the laws and rules of the city/property
- Don't give up locations of mystery boxes
- Don't publish or distrubute clues to other people's boxes w/o permission
- Report damage or full logbooks to the planter
- Treat the boxes as your own. Repair any damage to the box or baggies, carry paper towels and extra baggies for maintenance
- Rehide boxes in the exact same spot they were originally hidden
- Repack the boxes the same or better than you found it

- Backpack
- Baseplate Compass
- Extra baggies, paper towels & duct tape for box maintenance
- First aid supplies
- Flashlight
- Gloves
- Logbook
- Pens
- Personal Stamp
- Stamp pads or markers
- Water moistened paper towel to clean stamps (don't use baby wipes!)
